Project Management



Through work with the literature and tasks in the course, the students will achieve competence to lead projects on development, research and learning purposes.
Contents:
  • Project as organisation – project versus line
  • Characteristics of projects for development, research, and learning
  • Long term or short term, global or local projects
  • Leadership and management
  • Authority and democracy
  • Tradition and transcendence
  • Activity and structure
  • Overview over techniques and methods for estimation, diagrams, risk, planning and reporting
Case
The course is organised around a case that will be evolving and unfolding during the course. The students will act as project management consultants.
The task of acting as a project management consultant mentioned under ”work methods” is mandatory and will be the basis for the course evaluation.
