In line with the course topic, the course is totally net based, and the
work methods are highly collaborative. Active participation from all
students is a necessity. The students are supposed to read the course
literature on their own. Student initiatives for organising literature
seminars will be appreciated.
Tasks
- Presenting at least one of the chapter from the literature list for the other students.
- Tutoring over distance: The students will comment on fellow students‟ work, being for instance a draft for a paper, a didactic plan for a teaching session or a real teaching session documented through web- or video camera. Meta-discussion: Each tutoring session will be discussed and commented among the participating students and their teacher. In this session, relevant course literature should be used to analyse the tutoring session. The students should agree on the technology to be used in this session.
- Tutoring collaboration between groups. The students should plan and act as tutors or facilitators for a session of collaboration over distance between groups of pupils or students. The collaboration must be documented through a plan and a report with reflections, related to the course literature.Koschmann, T. (Ed.). (1996). CSCL: Theory and Practice of an Emerging Paradigm.
